Cliff Hauptman – Coast Lines: Digital Drawings

August 13 – September 25

Digital artwork, Hendrick Gallery

Combining drawing, printmaking, and technology, Cliff creates digital drawings line by line, using Adobe Illustrator software and the computer’s mouse as a pen and brush. The results are vector graphics, which are based on mathematical equations. Like digital photography, the original works exist only as a binary code of zeros and ones. But unlike digital photographs, which are raster graphics, vector prints can be sized to any dimensions without loss of sharpness, detail, or resolution.
