Variations 2022

April 23 – June 19, 2022

Variations is the Marblehead Art Association’s annual national exhibit which features the artwork of artists from across the country. Since 2021, artists from across the country, representing a diversity of styles and media have been invited to participate in this eight-week, juried exhibit of 2D and 3D work.

Catherine Amidon, Executive Director of the Marblehead Arts said of the exhibit “Based on the overwhelming success of our 2021 Variations exhibit, we once again cast a wide net and opened our Call for Works to a national audience of artists. This is an incredibly exciting endeavor for the Marblehead Arts. We received over 800 submission entries from artists all across the country. We are honored to be displaying the artwork of our talented members alongside the works of accomplished artists from across the country. We are proud and delighted to once again provide such an exciting exhibit to our community.”

Three respected judges from the Harvard Museum of Art, the Danforth Museum of Art and the Fuller Craft Museum juried the works for acceptance and judged for prizes. Over $4000 in cash awards will be presented to the winners in the categories of Fine Arts, Photography and 3D work. An Award ceremony will be held during the Opening Reception.
