Marblehead Art Crawl & Open Studios

Marblehead Art Crawl is a community event where artists open their workspaces to the public. Visitors “crawl” from one studio to another—self-guided, like a pub crawl but focused on art—meeting creators, seeing work in progress, learning about processes, and buying artwork.
How Does It Work?
The event will take place on Sunday, August 16th from 11 AM–4 PM.
Attendees use a printed map and online guide to plan their routes. Studios are numbered, and materials often include artist bios, mediums, and locations.
Artists display finished work (often in a gallery-like setup), show works-in-progress, demonstrate techniques, and chat with visitors. Many offer affordable pieces, prints, or smaller items alongside higher-priced originals. Refreshments, signage, and clear pricing help create a welcoming vibe.
Who can Participate and How?
Artists with a dedicated studio space or gallery that can be opened to the public are invited. We are asking for a nominal fee of $50 per participant to help cover the cost of printing and other expenses. You do not need to be a juried member of the MAA to be part of the art crawl.
We know that many of our members and fellow artists live outside of Marblehead, but out of respect to other local arts associations who may wish to have their own events, we are restricting this opportunity to 01945 based artists only.
