My art has grown out of impressionable experiences exploring nature where I have found myself throughout my life. I have been influenced the most significantly through time spent and fond memories of Colorado, New Mexico, New England, and Nova Scotia.

I was born in Colorado and spent my younger childhood years exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family. My dad and most of my extended family is from New Mexico, so my immediate family would often roam the vast open mesas, and variable changing landscapes of green forest and mountains. New England is where I primarily grew up m, and the beautiful scenery helped me keep that motivation to explore that I had since I was a child. I would drive all around New England and up into Canada. I fell in love with this routine every early Spring. I discovered the world of bird watching as I roamed and wandered, capturing many photos of cranes, egrets, and waterfowl along the shores of New England. I also developed a love for sailing and being on the ocean, catching the sunrises and sunsets that left me with a feeling of peace. I want my art to be relatable and for viewers to feel as if they traveled somewhere while these pieces live in their spaces. So, to this day I try to replicate these memories in my artwork. Sometimes I will collage elements from different places. Some pieces will indicate a particular place, while others will be more imaginative and dream-like and painterly.
