Student Work – MiraMar Printmakers
November 8 – December 21
All works in the exhibit are created by MiraMar Youth Printmakers. Each artist created a concept for a print, sketched it, created a matrix on a woodblock, linoleum block, or silk screen, and printed the final image.
Many of the young artists here have been practicing the craft of printmaking for several years and demonstrate highly skilled techniques including: reduction relief; multiple colors; fine carving; and professional printing. Ages range from 11-17 years old. Each artist participates at MiraMar after school one day a week throughout the school year.
About the Studio
MiraMar is an art studio focused on the art of printmaking. Founded in 2019 by artist duo, Sammia Atoui & Adrian Rodriguez, the studio creates limited edition fine art works on paper. Each work of art is designed and printed by hand, one color at a time using archival inks and papers. Every print is signed and numbered by the artist to ensure its value and investment. In addition to creating seasonal collections of art, the studio offers classes and workshops to people of all levels and experience in printmaking, drawing, and watercolor.
