A series of contemporary, whimsical, and ethereal works featuring stitched painted paper, collage, and ink. The STITCHED series are pieces created by incorporating sewing machine thread in the free-form style, working intuitively. The works organically come to life within the lines created by the stitching. Other creations are derived from the blind contour drawings from Verdun’s sketchbook or from scrap pieces of colored paper with leftover paint on them.
