This exhibit highlights Linda D’Addario’s muses who happen to be her family. (Granted, they may be a captive audience but she’ll never tire of painting them!) She has also included a few favorite glimpses from travels. She hopes you enjoy this introduction to the people and places she attempts to honor through her work.
About the Artist, Linda D’Addario
The challenge of portrait painting for me is capturing not only a likeness but also a moment in time, a mood and a candid look that draws the viewer in. I have learned to trust myself and the process to achieve the desired results.
I work in oils on wood panels. Oils allow the luminosity I am striving to achieve and the wood panels allow for a smooth finish. My technique is always evolving but , hopefully, I am on the right path.
