Michael Storella

Michael A Storella lives in Manchester by the Sea, Massachusetts. I have three adult children and 6 grandchildren.

After many years (45) as an executive in Technology, I found Art or it found me. In 1994, I became seriously interested in painting mostly with oils and enjoyed the outdoors and the challenge of painting nature, trying to capture what we see. I focused on plein air landscape painting actively year round. I have taken classes with accomplished art teachers such as David P. Curtis of Gloucester, a great teacher and mentor. Additionally, studied with artists Helen Sleeper, Joanna Fry, Nancy Gambino, and at the Montserrat College of Art taking classes in drawing, figures, still life, and advanced oil painting.

My goal is to reflect nature as a plein air artist while incorporating the feeling of the day both thru style and understanding the atmosphere, light and values, while adding my interpretations. Painting has become a critical passion of my enjoyment of life and creative process.
