Lisa Richardson-Bach

Lisa Richardson-Bach is an aerospace engineer by education and a glass and bead artist by choice. Her art is based on her love of the ocean. The graceful fluid lines of a wave, the deep rich blues and greens of the sea all inspire her designs. Which ever direction her work takes her, it always circles back to the ocean.

Lisa grew upon in coastal New England and now lives in Marblehead MA. She began working with glass over 30 years ago designing and making commission stained glass works of art. Lisa then discover kiln formed glass which has become one of her passions. The melting of glass in a kiln requires not only an artistic sense of working with glass but it also taps into her technical background to be able to precisely execute the intended design through the firing process.

Lisa’s second passion came when she was exploring ways to set her fused cabochons. She learned how to bead bezel set the cabs and a love of bead embroidery and bead weaving ensued. Lisa brings the same love of the ocean to her bead designs that she does to her fused glass.

Lisa’s art can be found across the country. She has won numerous awards for her glass and bead pieces. She has taught both glass and beads in studios and conferences throughout the US. Commissions are always welcome.
