Images of Italy is collection of paintings, in oil and acrylic, featuring the architecture and urban environment of Italy. The artist, an architect by training and profession, made ink and watercolor sketches and took photographs which he later used as reference material for this series of paintings.

Most of the images are of the city of Venice, but other parts of Italy are represented as well, including Rome, Lake Como in the north and Ortigia at the southern tip of Sicily.

Many of the larger paintings are painted in a fragmented manner, achieved by subdividing the image into small squares, like tiles, and painting them one by one. This abstraction encourages the viewer to engage the work in a different, slower, and more detailed way, asking them to perform the final act of assembly with their own imagination.
