Ellie Smith

Ellie is a longtime Marblehead resident, a retired Swampscott teacher and a certified school psychologist. She has been an artist member of the MAA for 20 years. She has had both solo and collaborative exhibits at the King Hooper. Her collections have the artistic points of view of texture, composition and form, as well as the interesting tension of shadow and light. Of particular interest to Ellie is capturing through the lens “a moment in time”. In addition to life in seaside New England, her trips to Italy, Provence, Russia and Norway have provided the subjects for many of her images. She looks forward to developing a future website to showcase these.
