Watercolors With Elaine Daly

Wednesdays, May 7th - June 4th • 9:30am - 12:00pm

Our ever-popular Wednesday morning watercolor class series, led by award-winning artist Elaine Daly, is back! These intimate five-week classes offer an introduction to working with watercolors for those new to the arts but also expand on techniques for those more experienced. Class size for the series is limited to six maximum.

Mini Mixed Media Workshop

Thursday, May 8th • 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Experiment with different mixed media materials to create a small and intimate work of art on wood panel. In this workshop, led by mixed media artist Karin Stolle, we will reuse and reimagine discarded items like maps and music sheets. Techniques such as photo transfer, stencil use with tissue paper, and acrylic glazing will be discussed.

Use of various acrylic mediums will also be covered. By the end of the workshop participants will have created an intimate mixed media collage on wood panel.

Fine Art Floral Design Workshop

Saturday, May 17th • 9:00am - 12:00pm

Morning workshop featuring hands-on direction as you create an elegant garden-style centerpiece, with lush high-end florals selected by award winning event florist Meghan Perlow, owner of Poppy Floral. Join her to learn tricks of the trade, and create your own stunning masterpiece.

Upon centerpiece completion, attendees will take part in a floral installation guided tutorial, making a show stopping piece to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Hooper Mansion ballroom. Work as a team to create a floral work of art!

Later that evening (6:00pm – 9:00pm), return with a guest to enjoy your hard work and talents among candlelight and flowers, coupled with gourmet tastings and wine.
