About the Artist, Michael Weiss
I am driven by a passion to understand the ways that human beings interact with one another and the world around them. The flow of our energy is profoundly affected by the spaces we inhabit, by their color, texture and shape.
The creative process is an opportunity to dialogue with the world around us and within us. An opportunity to renew ourselves. Truly it is available to all, to each of us in our own way.
I was the Founding Principal of Interior Dimensions Inc., Designing and Building Premium Architectural Woodwork from 1990 to 2010, focusing on high end residential work.
I worked as a Special Education Teacher in both private and public schools and have taught woodworking privately, through the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and was Certified in Massachusetts as a Vocational Education Teacher.
I have a Bachelors Degree from Brandeis University with a Major in Sociology and a Minor in Modern Art. And I still remember excitedly writing my Senior Thesis on Jackson Pollack.
