After a career in Software, Claudia Morris retired from Lotus Development/IBM and devoted herself fulltime to her life-long passion for art. Although she had always experimented with different mediums, it was oil painting that struck a resonant chord. Oil painting provided an immersion into a new way of seeing and creating that felt both completely new and familiar at the same time. She paints in oil from life, and loves the challenge of capturing what she sees. Each painting is a new experience, with endless opportunities to learn and explore. She is always at her happiest when she is painting, reading about, looking at, or talking about art! She has been incredibly lucky to study with some amazing painters, who have shared their knowledge and love of painting with her. She currently studies with Leo Mancini-Hresko, and previously studied with the late David P. Curtis.
