As a contemporary realist painter, Kaufman’s works are studies in observation. This exhibit attempts to capture everyday objects, somewhat jumbled, and translate the perceived 3D world to a 2D field by observing and capturing conditions of light, transparency, color and shadows through the painterly properties of oil paint.
