MAA Mini-Member Exhibit

The Roaring Twenties: Art and Fashion in the Flapper Era

The 1920s are known for flappers, speakeasies, jazz, art deco, and…. the founding of the Marblehead Arts Association! During this, the MAA’s 100th anniversary, one of our upcoming October exhibits will feature vintage clothing and accessories from the flapper era. These unique pieces are from the exquisite collection of long-time MAA patron Peggy Schrage.

To coordinate with this fashion exhibit, we are dedicating one gallery to a curated exhibit of member artwork inspired by the flapper era and its fashion. Here’s your chance to take a creative look at this period with its feathers, fashion, and fun! This exhibit will hang alongside these wonderful fashions and will be curated by the MAA.

Open to all mediums, one entry per artist.

Entry fee: $10

Take-in: Tuesday, Sept 27th 1-4 pm Artwork will be curated for inclusion and artists will be notified to pick up works that have not been accepted.
