Calls for Art
The Marblehead Arts Association hosts exhibitions featuring artwork by artists from Marblehead, the North Shore, and beyond. Our current calls are listed below. Please note, unless otherwise specified, our member exhibits are for juried MAA Artist members only. 2027 Solo Show Proposals
Marblehead Arts Association is now accepting proposals from its juried Artist Members for individual exhibits for the calendar year of 2027. To be considered for an individual exhibit, artists must be a member in good standing of the MAA.

August Themed Exhibition: The Spirit of ’76
In 1876, Archibald Willard’s “Spirit of ’76” captured something eternal: three generations marching through battle smoke, battered but unbroken, playing on. The old man with his fife still fierce, the boy drumming through the noise, the flag still high. That same defiant, joyful, stubborn American heartbeat — resilience wrapped in red, white, and blue — is what we’re summoning again.

MAA fine art, photography, sculpture, craft and digital artist members are invited to submit work for our annual Summer Exhibition.
All mediums are welcome.
(Submit 1-2 pieces, $10 take-in fee per piece.)

Now in it’s second year, the MAA invites digital, AI and animation artist members to submit work for our DA&A Exhibition.
