In a quiet café two former actors, Clare and Edmund, meet after many years apart to see whether or not there is a third and final act in the arc to their lives. A waiter narrates and comments on them and life.

James Butterfield
Since 1967 Jim has been involved with a multitude of theater stages. Memorable roles include: Equus in 1980/81; Our Town three times, in 1990, 2006 (opening production in the Firehouse) and again in 2018; Molly Sweeney several times beginning in 2007; and Equivocation in 2022. This is his first endeavor with Ars Longa Vita Brevis.
Janey Dauray
Janet has acted with a variety of theater companies. Her favorite roles have included Molly in Molly Sweeney (EMACT best actress award), Hannah in Night of the Iguana, Mary in Our Country’s Good, Ophelia in Hamlet, Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane (directed by Jim Butterfield), Mrs. Webb in Our Town. This is her first role with Ars Longa Vita Brevis.
John Melczer
John is an aspiring writer. Previous acting credits (with Director John Fogle) include: The Love Course (Professor Burgess), The Marriage Proposal (Lomov), Equivocation (Tom Wintour & Edward Coke), The Sunshine Boys (Patient zero), The Crucible (Reverend Parris), The Visit (sedan chairman). Other ensemble pieces include: The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui (Clark), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Odd Couple, The Tempest, Fiddler on the Roof, Inherit the Wind. John dedicates his performance to Wilbur.
