What better way to end the year than with our annual Winter Member Exhibition! The works of MAA Artist members will be spread throughout all galleries of the King Hooper Mansion.

Kathy Chapman

Photography

Kathy Chapman is a photographer born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her BFA in photography from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and spent her junior year in England at the Epsom College of Art and Design. The East Coast called her to Boston where she maintained a photo studio for over 25 years on Summer Street in the Fort Point Channel warehouse district. She photographed for commercial clients, news outlets and music labels, printing thousands of photos in the darkroom and shooting countless portraits with her beloved Hasselblad camera.
Currently Kathy lives on the North Shore in Gloucester, MA where she enjoys the beautiful ocean breezes while working on freelance photography and graphic design jobs from the Greater Boston area and beyond.

Jen Boisvert

Jen Boisvert is a native North Shore area artist who explores visual interpretations and merges relationships between humans and nature using sculpture as a visual dialogue. She enjoys using subtractive methods in stone, wood carving, and mixed media. Jen grew up in Beverly and received her B.F.A. concentration in Sculpture at Montserrat College of Art. Jen received her M.Ed. from Plymouth State University. She is an artist member at two local art associations, a recipient of the Mary Arakelian Foundation Award for best work in sculpture, and her artwork has been featured in galleries and exhibitions throughout New England.

Jen manages the Sculpture Studio at Montserrat and teaches courses in sculpture concentration. When she’s not in her studio, Jen enjoys spending time with her family and dogs hiking local trails.

Amy Sudarsky

Fine Art

Amy Sudarsky is a figurative painter who has exhibited in Boston, New York and San Francisco. For more than 35 years, she has taught painting and drawing courses at Boston University, The Art Institute of Boston, Washington University, the Cape Ann Museum and recently at Lesley University. In 2018, she curated the exhibition “In Her Own Image; Self Portraits by Women 1900-2018,” at the Concord Center for the Arts. In 2020, she was the juror for “Beyond Likeness: Exploring the Portrait” at Rocky Neck Art Colony. Amy has a studio in Allston, MA.
